What we collect
When you use the name check
When you search a name, your browser sends the name and the state to our server, which looks it up in our copy of that state's public register and sends the matches back. We do not save searches in a database or link them to you. Like any web request, a search can appear in our server logs for a short time. When you press an official search button, your browser opens the state's own website, and that state's privacy terms apply there.
When you send the start form or the contact form
- your name and email address,
- your phone or WhatsApp number, only if you give it,
- the state, company type, the name you want, where the owners live, what you need and your timeline,
- the message you write, and the page you sent it from.
The forms do not ask for a Social Security number, tax ID, passport number or bank details, and we ask you not to type them in. There are no payments on this site.
When you visit
The site records which pages are read, the type of device and the country, so we can see what is useful. It stores a random visit reference in your browser. That reference holds no name or contact details.
Why we use it
- To answer your request, and, when you ask for help forming a company, to pass it to a formation or registered agent service that can help.
- To improve the site, by seeing which pages people read.
- To keep a record of the requests we answer.
We do not sell your details and do not use them for unrelated marketing.
Who receives it
- A formation or registered agent service, only when you ask for help forming a company, so it can reply to you. It handles your details under its own privacy policy from then on. You can ask us which service received your request.
- Hetzner hosts the server where requests and visit data are stored.
- Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks.
- SendGrid sends email notices of new requests.
- Google Analytics, when switched on, measures visits. Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, when ads run, receive a signal when a form is sent after an ad click.
How long we keep it
Requests are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Visit data is used in aggregate.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, and you can withdraw from further contact at any time. Use the contact form and say what you want us to do. We reply within 30 days.
